TECH DEPARTMENT / IMMERSION ARTS
This program is divided into three aspects of Technical Production - Set Design and Stage Management, Costume and Make-up Design and on Lighting and Sound Design. It is the goal of this program to assist in specific design needs for the Theatre 360 MainStage productions. Students will learn about the design process including script analysis, conceptualization, rendering and implementation, as well as learn the skills to successfully Stage Manage a show.

Learn how to run the show backstage! Students will learn the complex and interesting skills of how working backstage creates the magical world we see onstage. Stage Management, lighting, sound, and stage craft will all be a part of this theatre course. Teaching Artist: Eugene Hutchins
UPCOMING PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
Costume and Make-Up Design, and Lighting
Through practical assignments in design, analysis, research, construction and production work, students will
develop an understanding and appreciation of the art, craft and discipline of stage costuming. The Make-up
portion will cover techniques in corrective (including feature modification), old age, period (including a historical
overview of the period make-up styles and uses), fantasy, facial hair, 2-D and basic 3-D prosthetic techniques
commonly used on stage. Students will also learn techniques in creating effective make-up renderings and charts. This course will also encourage students to engage and learn to understand the theatre production process.
Scenic Design & Stage Management
The Scene Design Portion of the program offers students work in design and related graphic areas such as figure drawing, scene painting, some computer graphics, and presentation techniques. Students also receive a strong core education in dramatic literature and theory, and period styles. Students will also learn about Stage Management including pre-audition preparation, rehearsal and production coordination, and strike procedures.
